Kaduna State Governor Uba Sani has expressed confidence that the All Progressives Congress (APC) will secure a landslide victory in the 2027 general elections, winning both the presidential and state assembly contests.

Speaking on Saturday at a grand political rally held at Murtala Square, Kaduna, Sani assured party supporters that the APC remains the party of choice for Nigerians. The event, attended by thousands of party loyalists, saw 50 prominent political figures pledge their allegiance to the ruling party.

APC’s Strategy for 2027 Elections

Governor Sani outlined key strategies that, according to him, will ensure APC’s dominance in the 2027 polls. He emphasized unity within the party, good governance, and grassroots mobilization as critical elements that will secure the party’s victory.

“We are fully prepared for the 2027 elections. APC has demonstrated strong leadership at all levels, and our commitment to the welfare of Nigerians remains unwavering. Our party is united, and we are focused on delivering on our promises,” Sani stated.

The governor also highlighted the administration’s achievements, pointing to infrastructural development, economic policies, and security measures that have improved the lives of citizens. He reassured the electorate that the APC government is committed to sustaining developmental projects across the country.

Prominent Political Figures Defect to APC

During the rally, a significant political shift occurred as 50 prominent political figures from opposition parties officially defected to APC. Among them were former state lawmakers, influential grassroots leaders, and key political stakeholders.

One of the defectors, a former member of the Kaduna State House of Assembly, cited the APC’s progressive policies as the primary reason for his defection. “I have seen firsthand the impact of APC’s policies on economic growth and security. The party’s leadership is transparent and focused on national development,” he said.

Grassroots Support and Nationwide Influence

Governor Sani also commended the grassroots support the APC enjoys across the country, saying it will play a significant role in the 2027 elections. According to him, the party’s ability to connect with the people at the grassroots level has solidified its stronghold in key states.

“From the North to the South, East to West, APC has gained the trust of Nigerians. We will continue to engage with the people and implement policies that directly impact their lives,” he said.

Party leaders from various states also took turns addressing the crowd, expressing optimism about the future and urging Nigerians to remain steadfast in their support for APC.

Opposition’s Response and Political Landscape

In response to Governor Sani’s bold declaration, opposition parties have criticized the APC, arguing that the 2027 elections will be highly competitive. Some political analysts believe that while APC remains a dominant force, opposition parties like the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) and Labour Party (LP) could pose strong challenges if they strengthen their coalitions.

However, Governor Sani dismissed these concerns, insisting that the APC’s track record speaks for itself. “Nigerians can see the difference between rhetoric and actual performance. We are confident that with continued hard work and dedication, our party will secure another decisive victory,” he asserted.

Looking Ahead: APC’s Roadmap to 2027

As the 2027 elections draw closer, APC has begun implementing its roadmap to success. Party leaders are focusing on strengthening internal democracy, resolving conflicts, and increasing youth participation in politics.

Governor Sani urged all APC members to remain united and dedicated to the party’s vision, stating that collective effort will be key to ensuring victory.

“The future is bright for APC and for Nigeria. We must work together to keep the country on the path of progress. 2027 is ours to win,” he concluded.

With the political landscape gradually taking shape, all eyes remain on the ruling party as it strategizes to retain power beyond 2027.
