The APC Aspirants/Candidates Forum has joined millions of Akwa Ibomites at home and in the diaspora to celebrate the State’s Anniversary, extending warm congratulations to Governor Umo Eno and the good people of Akwa Ibom State.
In a goodwill message signed by the state Coordinator of the Forum, Dr. Christopher Enoch, and the State Publicity Secretary, Sir Unyime Ekwere, the group described the anniversary as a historic milestone and a reminder of the unity, resilience, and sacrifices that have shaped the State since its creation in 1987.
The Forum noted that Akwa Ibom has continued to stand tall among comity of States, owing to the vision of its founding fathers, the developmental strides of successive administrations, and the industrious spirit of its citizens.
“Over the years, our dear State has witnessed tremendous transformation in infrastructure, education, health, human capacity development, and industrial growth. This progress has been made possible through the collective commitment of both leaders and citizens who believe in the Akwa Ibom dream,” the statement read in part.
While felicitating Governor Umo Eno for his leadership, the Forum reaffirmed its commitment to supporting policies and initiatives that promote peace, unity, and inclusive development. The group also called on Akwa Ibom people to remain united, irrespective of political affiliations, and work together for the continued prosperity of the State.
“As a Forum, we pledge our continued commitment to the peace, prosperity, and sustainable development of Akwa Ibom State. Together, let us advance the values of unity, equity, and progress for the benefit of present and future generations,” the Forum declared.
The statement further urged citizens to use the anniversary celebration as an opportunity to reflect on the State’s journey so far, celebrate its successes, and collectively chart a course for an even brighter future.
