Nigerian stand-up comedian and actor, Bovi Ugboma, has announced the passing of his father, Dr. Edward Ugboma.
Taking to his social media handles on Thursday, Bovi shared the sad news in an official statement.
“We, the Ugboma family, announce the peaceful passing of our beloved father, grandfather, and uncle, Dr. Edward Sagini Ugboma (PhD), on this day, February 13, 2025,” he wrote.
He further revealed that Dr. Ugboma is survived by his children—Judy, Edna, Bovi, Zino, Tano, Tome, and Jiji—as well as numerous grandchildren and loving relatives.
“We appreciate the outpouring of calls and messages during this period of mourning and gratitude. Details of the funeral rites will be shared soon,” the statement concluded.
